1919 Joan Of Arc medal by Anna Vaughn Hyatt Huntington. Bronze, 65 mm. Marqusee-206. Choice Mint State. No. 84, marked on edge. Beautiful applied mahogany-chocolate patina shows just a few minor surface disturbances in the fields, including a small batch near the upper obverse. One of just 171 specimens produced in bronze by the American Numismatic Society to mark the dedication of the Joan of Arc Park at 93rd Street at Riverside Drive, where Mrs. Huntington's Joan of Arc equestrian statue had been placed a few years earlier. A popular medal from one of the most beloved American sculptresses of the 20th Century.
